STMO puts a focus on the shoot experience. With luxury finishes throughout and an incredible coffee machine right at the heart of the studios, your guests will love the feeling of being on set with you. And when they want to step off set, our private lounge will look after them whilst still making them feel part of the shoot.
We stock a huge amount of equipment available for hire. Our studio technicians are there to help and ensure you have everything you need to make your shoot happen.
Located in Cheltenham with easy access to the M5 and Cheltenham train station and Gloucestershire airport, we are easy for your crew, cast, models and clients to reach no matter where they are coming from. Plus, as we’re outside of major cities, there is rarely traffic and absolutely no additional congestion charges.

Our studios are used by photographers, filmmakers, production companies and event organisers for endless creative expression. We even have the longest seamless handmade concrete wall in Europe.

Our team own and operate both a camera tracking vehicle (Motocrane) similar to a U-Crane arm, as well as a chase vehicle capable of 100mph+ speeds (on closed track). See more here.

We have had all kinds of sets in our studios, from a police interrogation room to a house. No challenge is too much for our team when it comes to set builds, get in touch and we will happily advise on set builds.
Our Ethos.
Coming from a photography and film background, the founders of STMO wanted to create a space and a business that felt more personal than the other studios & rental houses. It is about the details, whether it is in the space we designed or the collaborative nature of our kit booking process. Every small thing matters.
Our studios were designed with functionality at heart, from maximising shootable space inside to the locally roasted coffee, it is about an experience that feels great alongside a production that runs just as well.
We like to think of ourselves as innovative when it comes to our equipment. We have invested heavily into technology that make the shoot experience easier, whether it’s our LED lighting, our video village offering, or camera grip options. We strongly believe anyone at any level should be able to easily use the equipment we offer, but not sacrifice the high-end features the pros expect. Our team are always on hand to offer support, training and advice if you require.

How to find us.
Trains
17 mins bus ride door to door from Cheltenham Spa Train Station to our studios.
Trains from Paddington Station approx every hour, taking around 1 hour 50mins.
Trains from Bristol, 44 train services per day, taking 37mins.
Trains from Manchester, 5 train services per day, taking approx 2 hours.
Buses
Grab the Bus D or Bus E from outside the station, they run every 15 minutes and take you to right outside the studios.
We are only a 12 minute bus ride from the Centre of Cheltenham!
Driving
We are less than 9 minutes from the M5 which connects use to Bristol and Birmingham. Only an hour away from Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford and Cardiff by car, we are perfectly placed at the centre of the Mid-West.
If you’re driving to us, there is parking on site, but this needs to be arranged as part of your rental package when booking.
